OSPI/WASA Special Education Workshop
August 4-5, 2008 | Hotel Murano, Tacoma


The 11th annual OSPI/WASA Special Education Workshop will take place August 4-5, 2008, at the Hotel Murano, Tacoma

Anticipated participants include LEA special education directors, superintendents, principals, teachers, school psychologists, related services personnel, early childhood providers, paraeducators and university and community college personnel.
 

CONFERENCE GOALS

  • Sharing knowledge and suggesting strategies to implement newly released special education WACs, rules and regulations.

  • Identifying and providing expertise on successful instructional and leadership strategies that result in highly successful learning for children and youth with disabilities.

  • Response to intervention (RTI) for every student.

  • Exploring ways that school leaders are addressing issues of most highly qualified, safety net and preschool programs.

  • Exploring and understanding alternative assessments.
