AWSP/WASA Summer Conference
in Spokane in June.

Designed
to assist talented and committed educational administrators as
they enhance those skills and abilities needed to serve as
educational leaders in the field of public education. |
Criteria and
Prize Info:
A $1,000 scholarship
will be awarded to a school administrator who is presently in or
scheduled to begin a doctoral program in education in the year of
application. (Applicants must
presently be either a doctoral student in education or accepted into a
doctoral program in Washington state.)
Online
and print applications
may be submitted during the submission process. Online
submissions require that a vita be sent to WASA office under separate
cover, either by mail, fax or e-mail.
This program was named
after Doyle Winter, former
executive director of the Washington Association of School
Administrators, retired in 2002 after completing 44 years of service for
Washington
state public schools. In 2003, Dr. Winter received a national Distinguished
Service Award from the American Association of School Administrators for
exhibiting
exemplary leadership ability and enhancing school administration throughout
his career.
