WASA Leadership Opportunities

Make the first step toward increasing your involvement in
WASA activities by completing the form below.

WASA offers many ways for members to provide educational leadership in Washington State. Openings occur throughout the year and positions include opportunities to be an officer or a regional representative in statewide component groups and committees.

Each late winter/early spring, WASA’s regional president-elects form regional leadership teams. There are several opportunities you may wish to consider. Each WASA region president works with a leadership team consisting of a president-elect, a secretary and a treasurer. These positions are elected within each region. If you would like to run for one of these offices, contact your regional president or president-elect. They would love to talk to you!

Each region also has representatives that serve on WASA’s five statewide component groups (superintendents, instructional program administrators (IPAC), special education administrators, principals, and business and personnel administrators (BPAC)). These leaders represent their colleagues statewide, often help plan component conferences and may be asked to serve as representatives on state and regional educational decision-making groups. In addition, there are regional representatives for seven standing committees (honorary awards, legislation and finance, membership, professional development, professional standards and ethics, school construction, and small schools).

Leadership roles also include participation in Professional Educational Advisory Boards (PEABs), which provide input to colleges and universities as they develop programs to serve educators. WASA membership is solicited for ad hoc groups, special projects and liaison positions. In all, there are over 200 roles to be filled as WASA carries out its annual program.

Benefit personally and professionally through statewide involvement in WASA and help us fulfill our goals. Take this opportunity to become an active participant in one of the leading administrative organizations in the nation.

Please call WASA today at 800-859-9272 to learn more. Your WASA leadership builds a better tomorrow!
