Pyramid Response to Intervention: RTI, PLCs, and How to Respond When
Students Don’t Learn
Date and Time:
Friday, November 12, 2010, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Location:
Green Gables Elementary
32607 47th Avenue SW
Federal Way, WA 98023
Target Audience:
K-12 Teachers, Curriculum Directors, University
Education Professors, Special Education, ELL, School and District
Administrators.
Description:
The most significant difference between a
“traditional” school and a professional learning community
is how a site responds when students don’t learn…or as Rick
DuFour says, “Don’t tell me you believe that all kids can
learn...tell me what you are doing about the kids that aren’t
learning.” Participants will learn how to create a systematic
intervention program that is highly effective and aligned with Response
to Intervention (RTI) guidelines, and will leave with practical, proven
PLC implementation ideas.
About the Presenter:
The leadership of Mike Mattos, principal of

When Students Don’t Learn, and contributed to The Collaborative
