Description:
For the past several years, South Kitsap School District has partnered with a wide variety of external organizations to support learning for the students in their district. Using the ASCD Whole Child Initiative as an integral piece of their plan, SKSD’s vision and purpose is for EVERY child to succeed and learn at high levels.  Every child’s unique pathway to success is lined with many caring, dedicated, loving adults, partners, and program.  Every adult is a key to their success. This model is one that can be replicated by school districts and organizations across the state.  This conference is intended to:
1. SHOW how community partnerships work in South Kitsap School District and with other selected schools and districts.
2. INSPIRE conference participants to find ways to connect with their own community resources and external organizations. As Treasure Hunters, participants will discover ways to unlock students’ potential for improved learning by interacting with our Showcase of Partners
3. Provide time to PLAN with your team to begin or continue to work together to build partnerships to ensure that students are healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged.
